Jessica Simpson opens up her heart about her split and consequent divorce from Nick Lachey to Elle magazine and revealed that seeing Nick with another woman after their split was hurting.

The pair separated in November 2005, and soon after their split Lachey was snapped with 'Laguna Beach' star Kristin Cavallari and he has been dating Vanessa Minnillo for over a year now.
Simpson tells Elle magazine, 'Oh, it hurt me. Two or three weeks later? Yeah, I'd say it kind of hurt me.'
Simpson and Lachey became a star couple after the success of MTV show, Newlyweds: Nick & & Jessica.
The 26-year-old claims she's still in touch with Lachey explaining, 'He's so much a part of my life, how could I not be? Any guy who's going to be with me from this day forward has to understand that.'
But she kept quiet about her relationship with John Mayer, 29, with whom she has been linked since the summer.
