He seemed very sincere in his interest in working with us in an ongoing basis.We emphasized that this is not a one-shot deal, but an ongoing thing. He was very open to doing this.
Washington met Jennings and Neil Giuliano, president of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
Monday is the first day of GLSEN's fourth annual nationwide school campaign 'No Name-Calling Week.'
GLSEN's 2005 National School Climate Survey revealed that 75% of LGBT students reported hearing derogatory remarks like 'faggot' or 'dyke' frequently or often in school.
The program aims to end name-calling by creating a dialogue about the problem with students and schools and by providing the tools to eliminate bullying.
Washington himself used the term 'faggot' about cast-mate TR Knight during an on-set argument with co-star Patrick Dempsey.
